Feeling A Little Lost Today.... Eighteen years ago this very morning, around this time I was packing my bags from a wonderful long weekend I'd spent with a friend with benefits. (that I was in love with).We were in Greenwich Village, NYC packing up my car with things we had bought from street fairs we had visited all weekend. I remember him passing me a beautiful mirror and it slipped out of my hand and crashed on the pavement. He looked at me and said "Oh No ~M, seven years bad luck for us"We continued to pack up the car and I drove him to the courthouse in downtown Manhatten at about 8:15 AM. I got out of the car to kiss him goodbye and looked up at the magnificent sky and thought" what a beautiful day, not a cloud on the horizon".I got in my car and made my way into the Holland Tunnel by the time the first plane hit I was on the Jersey side That was the last time I was to ever see him. He died that day. I wanted to remember him today. He was someone special to me. I'll never forget him.  "Men need to hunt. She obviously understands this. She’s offering herself as prey. Not easy prey. But willing.” |
