Touch Sometimes I want to be touched so badly is an ache inside me, a bottomless well of emptiness and longing. Sometimes I want it so badly I can feel my skin prickle in anticipation of a caress that never comes. Sometimes I feel the lingering agony of a phantom bruise from a blow that came only in my imagination, but it feels as if my desire has already imprinted the memory of it on my skin. Yeahhhhhh.. this. Right down to little details like how hair feels in my hand or the sensation of skin gliding under my fingertips. And I can smell it and taste it as well. Brains smart enough to play fill in the blanks are sometimes a blessing and sometimes a curse I guess. Imma go with a blessing because I'm fundamentally an optimistic sort. Thanks for this - it resonates.
