Ahh!!

Time and time measurement. Time is what all of creation has.

Time measurement, that is a human fiction this species has to help fool ourselves we are in control. The alarm on the stove, the calendar on the wall, the clock going tic, tic, tic, tic,

Guess what folks. Creation does not run on human organization. Never has, never will. Our species however strives for an order we human must define so we can justify our existence to ourselves as evidence on New Years Eve as we count down to the future.

Happy Holidays everyone.

Thank you for that analogy. It was quite interesting.

This is why you just live your life, right now

This reminds me of something I read a couple or three years back. (Time for me is flexible so I lose track so 2 or 3, probably not 4, definitely not 5 years anyway)

You know how sometimes you read something and it's right, and it's true, and it irritates you like a grass seed in your sock: you can't escape it, can't deny it, and it's damned well unpleasant? One of those kind of things, and it's been turning around in my head off and on all that time:

"Human beings are the only species that have to pay to live on this planet"

I dislike the implications in that truth. Dislike.... hell no I hate them. And I think it's become a bit of a goad to me to find a way to get off the treadmill... I've never been an avaricious type - money means little enough to me beyond meeting my day to day needs and I'll never be rich because of that - so why am I working so hard so I can afford to sit on the beach and stare at the water, and eat and make love and and and.... all the things I do value. I love my work, in an I'll still do it as a hobby when i retire kind of way, but still... I'm fundamentally working my arse off to be able to afford to do things that technically are there for the doing regardless.

It's a fucking subversive line of reasoning, empires have fallen over less.

" When you have the time you haven't got the money & when you have the money you haven't got the time " !!!!

An old truism that I found to be true !!!!

meh. Half the time I don't know what day it is - I've managed to build myself a life where time is flexible. Sounds great right, if time is your concern? And it is in a lot of ways. But it can also be a bit of a drag: the price of a late start is usually a late finish.... things still have to get done. Birds still need to have the entire nesting and hatching thing done by season x, the dog needs to hunt for food, I need to achieve so many jobs completed to pay the mortgage. But mostly it works.

And the problem is
we always think we
have more time.

time running away if you waste your time doing things you don't like... often during our life we need to do something that we don't like.

ali

It is so true ! But, it is the price we pay for being more advanced....

A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. George Bernard Shaw
