The Right Angles
We all try to show the best sides of ourselves. The right angles. The right light. It's not really a lie. It's real, but we leave out our worst in the beginning. We leave out the raw. The flaws. Imperfections. Maybe we just rather pretend for just a moment we are only good and only beautiful. Only light. That we don't have ugly moments. That somedays we aren't just a walking disaster trying to do life. Dark. Pretending we have wings and halos because often we do, but we hide the days our horns come out. We shush the fire because honestly how many can handle that heat from a stranger. How many would walk through flames with you unafraid to be burned?
