Letters I’m still writing letters to you. Why? After everything I said, everything you never said. After the months that have turned into years. After this nonexistent friendship. Why? Why am I still writing letters to you that you’ll never read? I think this is a testament to love. Not my love for you. But love is the universal curveball that makes the predictable unpredictable. It seeps into your life even when you specifically told it not to come. You don’t have time for this. Your schedule is packed. There’s no space for love. But that’s the thing about love. It comes and it goes when it pleases. A relationship needs work. But love? That feeling that overrides logic? That feeling does whatever the hell it wants. And you know that saying? The one that says, ‘If you want to know where your heart is, look to where your mind goes when it wanders? That gets to me every time. Because in quiet moments after the storm, when life becomes slow and my memories take root… you’re always there. And as much as I’m over you, I’m also completely, irrevocably not. Parts of me will always contain some part of you. I used to think of this inability to shake you as pathetic. Then I got angry about it. Now I realize that maybe this is just how it is. Sometimes some people come into your life and leave a mark so defining that it shapes who you are. Maybe that’s why I’m still writing letters to you… because I feel you with me in the subtlest of times. ~M "Men need to hunt. She obviously understands this. She’s offering herself as prey. Not easy prey. But willing.” |

I've been there. Sooner or later though, you have to close the door and move on. I found dwelling on that someone who made a mark holds you back. Deep in the back of your mind, something tells you, but what if he/she comes back? "Men need to hunt. She obviously understands this. She’s offering herself as prey. Not easy prey. But willing.”

Sometimes we search for the answer to a question that there isn't an answer to . . Because It's not a question to be answered, but a truth to be accepted.
