Marks She'd become obsessed with the marks he left. The colors were so pretty against her pale skin. How their vibrancy faded day after day until it was like they never existed. She'd come back for more. She pushed herself to go further, falling in love with the way she wore him. Carried him with her. Evidence of their love, their desire, and her need to be his. Covered in memories of their time. She'd become obsessed with pain mixed with his tenderness. Beautiful sweet violence she craved. She felt naked, incomplete when she was without. When I saw the title of the post, I thought "stripes and welts" But I was pleasantly surprised. Very lovely and great post. Stripes and welts and bruising is a turn-off for me, but the red skin that slowly fades is a thing of beauty.
