My favourite book of 2022 was
Lesson in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. I think it was her first novel (although she was a copywriter)
It's bloody brilliant

There is this book, well, a serie of books, the Earth Children, is the title, i always pick it up, th second volume, Prehistorical, Neaderthaler- homo sapiens, all fantasy, a lot of herbal knowledge... also a woman as head / lead figure in the books.
Just sweet, to calm my nerves....
A Feel good book.

Taylor Stevens, she wrote a serie too....
High speed, lot of violence, lot of body counts, blood, woman head figure, Love her books!! Great strong storys

On the D/s books;
Partners in Power, iiving in kinky relationships, Jack Rinella.
Did not read it front to back, but pick some chapters and let them simmer, till i am ready for an other piece....

I did like the "Time Riders" series (9 books) by Alex Scarrow.

And "Les Outrepasseurs" (4 books) by Cindy Van Wilder.

Oh, and "Dark Tower" (8 books) by Stephen King.

And the 41 books in the Diskworld universe by Terry Pratchett.

I have crates of books to build shelves for as soon as I finish the house. In used book stores I pick up any copies of The Puzzle Palace and give them away (I worked for them ages ago).

There are certain books that I will always purchase if I find a copy in a used bookstore in order to give away, as I believe everyone should own them.
One such book is "A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson. This book explains, in a very clear and understandable way, many of those things we were supposed to learn in school but just could not grasp. In a very measured way, Bryson explains the basics of astronomy or how scientists, using brainpower and 17th century tools, were somehow able to calculate the mass of the earth or its diameter.
