Twenty Things I've Learned In Twenty Years 1. If you have the right of way, take it. 2. You don’t get to choose your own nickname. 3. Sympathy is a crutch, never fake a limp. 11. Give credit. Take blame. 12. Don’t stare. 13. Cologne was not invented to bathe in. 14. If you’ve made your point, stop talking. 15. Admit it when you’re wrong. 16. Never answer the phone at the dinner table. 17. Forgive yourself for your mistakes. 18. Know at least one good joke. 19. Learn to drive your stick shift 20. M..I automatically win that table game. I don't have one of those phones I carry with me.I do have one I keep in the car for emergencies and such. But it doe not have text ability or any of those so-called "smart" features. I am not inclined to get one ether. I use land line. We survived before they were introduced to the general population, even in emergencies! Oh BTW, I would go to dinner with you at the drop of a hat! Between music and art, I don't think the conversation would be dull. "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"

I think the most ignored point is the one about taking calls at the dinner table or anywhere a meal is involved, when in the company of a date, family, associate and so forth. Perhaps one exception is at a business lunch and you expect a call related to the discussion other than how to make a martini. "Men need to hunt. She obviously understands this. That is an outstanding list! It should be taught in schools. Reading, writing, arithmetic and tact. There is one you forgot though that applies mainly to women .... Never make eye contact while eating a banana ..... I once read "Tact is the ability to tell someone to go to hell, in such a way, that they look forward to the trip." I thought that was awesome!
