Insatiable. Never enough; always wanting, deeply craving, incapable of being satisfied. When we are together we cannot stop. We cannot keep our hands to ourselves. We cannot keep our bodies separated. We cannot force our thoughts away from one another. A desperate aching need for more. Does this mean we are unfulfilled? Not at all. We are simply hedonists in our world of one another. A desperate paradox; continually fulfilled yet forever craving. Addicts of our own desire. More…always more…of you. Insatiable. "Men need to hunt. She obviously understands this. She’s offering herself as prey. Not easy prey. But willing.” |

There are many things in our lives including people. The need, the want, for them can become Insatiable. The quest for them never ends. There is no saturation point. It is a human trait we have to one degree or another. It is characterized by compulsive and/or impulsive behavior. Do you collect LPs for instance. You purchase an LP. Instant gratification. But the need for the next LP is just below the surface. And the next one and the next. We often treat people that we are in relationships the same way. That is why we need love. Just something to think about. We are all unique. They try to categorize us, but we are all different. These words may or may not make an sense. Good morning. I returned to this post this morning and read your re: again. I wanted to offer you an explanation. The post wasn't about being greedy for the next and next thing. It was about finding someone that you cannot get enough of hence being insatiable for them. I hope I shed some light on your response. "Men need to hunt. She obviously understands this. She’s offering herself as prey. Not easy prey. But willing.”

Ah, but there isn’t a cannot, is there? There are fields and their forces, undeniable and deniable all at once. There’s ever the pulling against them into higher states or flirting with inertial stillness as the lines build, their energy all potential until a release comes something like a gravitational slingshot, just-missed-with-a-wink. Two colliding bodies. An extinction event.

"Unforgettable, that's what you are Unforgettable, though near or far Like a song of love that clings to me How the thought of you does things to me Never before has someone been more Unforgettable, in every way And forever more, that's how you'll stay That's why, darling, it's incredible That someone so unforgettable Thinks that I am unforgettable too Unforgettable, in every way And forever more, that's how you'll stay That's why, darling, it's incredible That someone so unforgettable Thinks that I am unforgettable too..." Nat King Cole, "Unforgettable", written by Irving Gordon, published 1951

ali A lovely way to be and, as they say, very different to unsatisfied! I think many of us have been like this at times.... A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. George Bernard Shaw Jenny

Insatiable, indeed. "Men need to hunt. She obviously understands this. She’s offering herself as prey. Not easy prey. But willing.”
