Indeed.. I spent several years in MS and LA and even a few months in TX. As much as I gripe about the seasons, I did miss them and I missed the mountains horribly.

I lived in mtns of WV
I luv the seasons
I luv a roaring fire cuddled up together
I luv to ski
I luv mild winters best now
