Dragons tongue, Pt XlV a romance novel.

"Best we get out of here quick." Bree said." So they put all the treasure in a bag and as Bree picked up the stone with the markings on it Shona stopped her saying. " I"d rather we left that here, there's something creepy about it". So Bree placed it back in the pot in the hole and put the lid back on saying. "We can always come back for it if we need it." Then they covered the hole back up and smoothed it over." Looking pleased with their work they returned to the boat. "We should get going." Bree said, starting the motor then motoring up a little to help Shona bring in the anchor. They put up the sail to take advantage of the breeze, Shona now an adept sailor could tie the necessary knots and adjust the sails by herself. They sailed back along the sandy channels towards home, enjoying the fresh smell of the tea tree along the way. Bree related some stories about her dads life to Shona as they traveled , of some of the things he'd found when out detectoring. 'You have to be aware of how the law works in regards to treasure as you can quite easily lose it to the government and be fined and even jailed for some offences." Bree said then continued. " They brought in a law in the 70's that said the government owned all the old ship wrecks and finds from them to the low water mark I think it was. It made things very complicated as there had been a lot of stuff removed from and around the old wrecks prior to that law being made that had been sold even some over seas in auctions. So it would be best to keep this to ourselves and figure out the best thing to do.We've probably already violated some law by moving it without a permit. When they found a wider spot in the channel they decided to stop for a while to see what they had. Bree set the kettle on the small gas stove to make tea. Then they cleared the table and placed the bag containing the treasure on it.

    Quoting  :

Thanks, now we have a rather painful but necessary part of the story to tell. Don't really want to do it. Poor Shona, she just never saw it coming.
