"I've seen the future!" His last words.

Before he took off to the past presumably and to a time and place where there was no humans.
And little in the way of biology too and you could swim in the ocean without fear.
Clara and I took a tour around our World and met all kinds of animals, horses being her favorite and they were such a gentle creature.
Why develop robots? Was her question after the trouble they'd caused on her own planet.
We watched old vids of disco hits and even to me as someone largely in the dark about the future, I found the past to be a comfortable place.
As good as it could be, for humans that is.
We're going to make the same mistakes as our future sister planet.
Robots took lying to the next level, so full of bullshit it was unwise to turn your back on one.
They were skilled bullshit artists and assassins.
That's all there was to it.
They had jilted nerds at their controls and those nerds would take out their revenge on the World.
The nerds hid safe from their destructive machines, hidden in underground networks.
Alien too were seen as a threat as they kept there purpose secret.
They neither made nor broke promises.
I had to wonder about the doc, and the little bits of information that had filtered through about him told the story to a point.
That he'd shied away from humans but had also started a new race of them from his own genes.
Did he imagine they'd turn out differently?
I decided the best thing to do right now would be to see if I could go back to visit the doc.
Clara was enthused about it too and wanted to meet the (Adam and eve) of her own race.
We could start our search by examining megalithic stone formations that were perhaps a hobby for the doc, once he'd learned how to levitate the stones.
Yes I would do that and stay away from my own Earth whilst they 'worked it out'.
We had a picnic lunch on our trail ride as a last good memory of the place then returned back to my workshop to my machine.
I didn't know any exact parameters of how to adjust it but kept it settings the same for now.
My machine was crude, showcasing all the influences that I'd delved into, from watchcraft to steampunk then electromagnetic and plasma fields.But I was confident it would make the jump again as it had done before.

Imagine my surprise when I found out that my opinion actually mattered!
