All dressed up with nowhere to go...

I noticed that when I played back a video I'd taken outside that it was full of bird sounds.
The birds had moved in !
These used to be lonely desolate farm paddocks, and old remnants of early inhabitants still resided in the ground.
But now the trees had grown back and waterways added that bristled with life.
The ducks would wander around even coming quite close to where I lived.
No roads nearby to give any impression of anything happening in the World.
And the vestiges of old train lines could be found.
I see in one place they're putting it back, just the way it was in early times and they even got hold of the original steam train to resume its business again.
Maybe now it's more about tourism as the early railway was connected to the business of getting gold.
The old strong room still existed and according to the visitors sign it once had seventy odd tons of gold in it.
Now the place looked rugged and wild and barely recognizable from the photos that showed the clean shaven hills that were stripped to feed the steam machinery.
Funny that as there was huge coal deposits about but not initially used.
The river added a touch of magic to the place and the cool forest was wet and supported a thick canopy of ferns.
So now it seemed alive again and the steam train whistle added a sense of vibrancy to those pretty mountain ranges.
It was also a time for train lovers to feel their cup runneth over with joy as thanks to the Panama canal failing through lack of water the overland routes had to take up the slack to trundle their impossibly long loads across a continent.
Canadian Pacific line in particular is what I was thinking about.
The utuber commenting that the mighty train was eighty two tons but the enormous load was more like 450 tons.
How did he get it so wrong.
And some even more behemoths approached a thousand tons.
They were a delight for me to hear and see and then some made emergency stops, like a half a mile to stop, then police cars would arrive to investigate.
Really it harkened to something deep inside me and it was much more than how the Back to the future trilogy had ended ,and idle taunts about a sequel.
To hear those train crossing warning bells again perhaps to continue that time traveling adventure.
If you know me you know my mind could never accept the parody of what time was portrayed as.
I knew it was closely knitted into the world of women as it was always women preaching to me to evolve my habits to suit time.
The haste that was brewing in them about time really unnerved me.
Like "life" had to be wound up neatly and fitted into the time box that all women seemed to have fitted into their brains.
Toying with women was toying with time.Again with Billy Madison the classroom scene with clockfaces all over the place and teachings about using the odd skill "telling time".
Then a watch filled Pinata that broke to reveal its mystery.
Then a teacher provoked my curiosity about time, and seeming to offer a way out of its perils by playing the movie the time machine to the class.
My mind became enamored by that dreamy movie and it seemed like a logical life pursuit.
To get the better of time.
The thought that it was possible to easily break attachments with the things that sort to control you was a delightful temptress and it seemed like a super power to be above the workings of time.
A few clues were given that time travel was possible too. That time was just an illusion, created for an intended purpose. Something about trains, was offering a clue on where to start. Maybe the Doppler effect!

Imagine my surprise when I found out that my opinion actually mattered!

A teacher warned me about how I would be trapped by time. Her confidence irked me. Did she think I was the typical mortal fool ?

Imagine my surprise when I found out that my opinion actually mattered!
