Blades and Forging
So in case yall missed it, I am starting to build my own forge. Rather than pay 5-900 for one pre built, I figure DIY for around 200 would be better for a tight budget. Now, we all say that we are our own worst critic, but I gotta say my FATHER is my worst critic. And even he said that it is coming along better than he thought it would. Only spent about 4 hours on it saturday, didn't wanna burn out and get tired while fabricating it. Next weekend I add latches to both ends, add insulation sheets, the firebrick, and fire her up for the first time. I have her ATM set up to be able to do, foundry smelting, Metal foundry/forging, and heat treat. I will be using her to make Damascus steel blades for general use and even blade play. If I can find a financial backer, I MIGHT be able to make custom Damascus COLLARS! Tell me THAT wouldn't be one hell of a statement for your lil pet or slave. Anyways, if you get the chance to see the pics, gimme your thoughts on things to make or if you would want something to BE made.
