Probably. My 200-mile search for what I'm looking for essentially turns into like three accounts, all of which appear to be spam/fake. Better off using Tinder, tbh

Many users have reported credit card overcharging when they cancel paid membership on this site. This is just one of the many abuses of ALT users.

Deffo not renewing...3 yrs on here, usually auto renewed, but cancelled the auto renew because I didn't want 12 months again. BUT THEY tried to take 12 months, luckily the bank did a 'was it you?' check so obviously said no.... 50% membership discount--- 'we'll add 6 months at the end of 12 months', but only if you do a blog, add a photo and many more hoops to jump through on a daily basis for some of the conditions, so even on holiday , you'd have to be on site.. Add the IM cr-p a short time ago, absolutely NO INCENTIVE TO STAY. My 300 mile distance filter, as we speak has 95% flirts and views from 'people' 3,000 + miles away, all nearly the same 1 photo,with similar cut and paste profiles... And when chatting, 'lets got to Hangout', yeh next is the Amazon eCard request... Goodbye in Feb......

we used to be able to at least add friends as non paying now i cant do that or add to hotlist. and i used to pay but this site is sort of a little messed up and i would say i like the other site collar but thats messed up even worse than this site

I agree. I will not be renewing, i shut autopay pay off 2 weeks ago and it still auto charged me for this month But it is off now, the amount of fake accounts and unreal people or fake profiles have done nothing but continue to climb. In the last 10 month i have collected Pictures and data on over 50 seperate accounts with pictures that are not of themselves.. in the last 10 months.. When confronted about it here of late i get a lot of YES that is me for pictures of active porn stars..Now I realize tht a few porn stars would want to get out of the business and run off to hide But how many would actually be looking for an elderly 59 year old broke maint mechanic from rural Kenticky? especially one who is financially unstable due to being scammed out of a large amount of money last year on another dating site. I have documented 21 who have multiple accounts on here differnt name different city different states and same pictures just slightly different profiles...but all have certain items in common, and a lot of them aere getting down right sloppy about it too living in different cities in the same 1 hour chat..But it has been interesting and does give me a challenge exposing all of them i can..As i have said before ,,Seems there just are no real caring people any more.

If I did not have a free Gold membership I would already be gone. I am leaving anyway. This site is a joke. At one time it did have some utility. Not anymore. BDSM is more mainstream now. You can use other sites like Tinder, Bumble, etc. that are much more populated with real and serious people.

I always have issues with my cc whenever I pay for anything on this site. As in, people steal my info, overcharge, or worse. Thieves.

Fetlife has scammers on it too, lots of fake profiles as well. only thing they do is offer local meets which is at least something. However last one I went to was about 50 Dom's and 2 subs , that came to attend ..
