Got me some security

I lived in this neighborhood for about 10 yrs now...never had anything major happen.

But of the cars at house did get broken into..and last month people were going around stealing cars in the area

So i decided to get some security cameras..

Now im not mister tech...so i always assumed such systems were pricey.
But for 9 bucks i got myself a system and 4 cameras.

And it seems like any idiot can install them if they are willing get on a ladder and drill some holes.

But for 9 bucks youd expect a crappy resolution or the vid quality of a 7/ store.
Yet its pretty crystal clear and has great night time vision.

Sure having cameras doesnt guarantee your car wont be stolen..
But it may scare off a potential thief..

 Security camera systems are cheap now and almost stupid proof to install..But be careful and check with local law enforcement too.
About 15 years ago i lived in an area that had a very nice apartment complex directly behind our home and we shared an ally way. everything was just great for the first two years then the 100 unit complex became section 8 then the trouble started i was broken into 3 times the first year so i invested in a hi end wireless security system and had it tied into a local alarm company ..
I came home from work one day to find 3 police cars around my home. I approached the first officer and he asked me my name and identification, i complied. the officer then served ME with a search warrant for my home and detached shop, cause for the search SUSPECTED DRUG TRAFFICKING AND SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY?????? IT SEEMS THAT MY PURCHASING THE SECURITY SYSTEM WAS PROBABLE CAUSE FOR THE WARRANT AS ONLY DRUG DEALERS AND GANGSTERS NEEDED HOME SECURITY SYSTEMS....WTF

 You can install domes with nothing inside. The glass is tinted so nobody can see where a PTZ camera is pointing to. Or whether there's a camera inside.
