MLB,homophobic announcer and welcome to f*g town So if you didnt hear the by announcer for the Cincinnati reds said air ( cringe)... Is the new f😐g town.... And since the reds were playing the kc royals... One has to assume he meant the homophobic slur against kansascity.. Funny then how this announcer then goes on this huge apology tour. He claims he is a man of faith..he's whining that he may never be allowed to broadcast again. He apologized to the owner,the reds players and lastly to the lgbtq community of Cincinnati... Yet didnt mention...." f😠g town....kansascity.. And was this azzhat fired? Nope is just suspended.. Aint that a bitch.. Now imagine if this announcer used the n word or talked about a female fans breast... You know damn well he would be fired and there would be an investigation into the culture of the broadcast staff and maybe the reds organization itself. Hell say something bad about the jews and the next minute this guy would be on a plane to meet some rabbi from nyc. Yet make a homophobic slur.... And he is suspended ( probably with full and benefits). Where is mlb's response this??? Why does mlb tolerate an announcer that would use this language off air more or less ...cause you know damn well this turned into a hott mic momment |

In the classic movie Blazing Saddles, there was a scene where a bunch of the cowboys were dancing around a campfire, and one of the characters walks over and calls them a bunch of Kansas City foggats (deliberately misspelled). That is probably the origin of that announcers comment.
