So yeah i have a bathroom in my basement...

Meaning i have a sewage pump..

So yeah we had a plumber come in and my roomie is giving me a play by play via text.

Not saying women dont understand plumbing but if we are paying for a pro plumber to be here..i dont need to nickle and dime a problem..

In my case..the house smells bad when the sewage pit empties or we run the dishwasher

Then im asking some questions...like why dont you scope the sewage pipe to which i think is cracked..
He said..no problem..that will be 150 bucks

Which raised the bill from 150 to 5 grand when he confirmed...yes it is..

Yikes..meaning he has to tear up the front yard and my concrete steps..

And no he isnt playing me. Ive always suspected the pipe was bad..

Thank God for stimulus money.. just saying..

Or an outhouse. Hardest part of that is getting a permit! Now go find a copy of the Erma Bombeck classic "The grass is always greener over the septic tank."

Check out Sani-flo, Leo, before you break the bank or the front steps. There are some good videos on YooToob that show how well it works. If your whole house is hooked up to the same pipe as the basement, however, Sani-flo won't solve your problem.

Nasty job that, we went through the same ordeal but I found out before anything happened that it was on the city portion of the pipe. They paid for all of it. Also when the pie was open we looked in and found it was pristine. No fat build up ( I store that in me lol) or anything. Cost to me was nothing. Best of luck to you my good man
