 As a sub, I have met only a couple Dom/Dommes that I am willing to submit to. Picky? Yes very, if I am going to let someone tie me up and have their way with me, I like to have an idea where their mind is at. So as you say we can still sit around and enjoy beers, I whole heartedly agree. I also enjoy talking about other things over a coffee or a beer.
A Mistress I saw for close to 5 years had a different political view ( I really don't have one anymore, I think they are too full of it, all of them) but often after a session we would sit and discuss different subjects, politics included.
I cannot really personally attack someone, unless they show true stupidity right off the bat.
