Can we all say this for the last time... You want to make this into a gun debate/ gun grab You want only cops to be armed? This was a prime example of why this should scare the shit out of you... Cops not engaging an active shooter...the head cop thinking nobody was in danger and this was now just a barracade situation. So lets wait an hour? Meanwhile students inside are phoning 911... And that info isnt relayed to the police on scene.. Meanwhile the schools neighbor knew shots were being fired..if she knew..the cops in thebuilding knew.. And still waited.. And you want citizens to just give up their guns... There was a reason andy never let barney have live ammo.. Now i guess he moved to texas

i know all the cops there feel like shit right now. an they should but i'll wait and see if they ever got training for that. not that one needs any. hell there kids in school not people in a back. they will live the rest of there lives feeling this way there was no hero there for 1 hr. very sad

And Texas lets you carry a sidearm without a background check! A lot of good it did. Cops find themselves in this situation and the supervisors freeze up because they were never trained for the situation. A situation happening constantly, but preparation for it is lacking.

My point is simple. I dont want to blame cops....but this is the 2nd school shooting where they sat outside and waited for back up.. for like 40 50,60 minutes.. Meanwhile dumbass inside is still killing people. And the wounded are bleeding out

But the police,the schools do train.. But apparently that training doesnt work... Why not take my simple solution and put a can of tear gas in each class room.. If anyone comes inside..simply pull the pin... That person will quickly back out.. No school employee is forced to carry a gun or kill anyone... It would be a quick and effective means to remove an intruder from a classroom. It's fairly cheap...it's available. And would prevent a shooter from remaining in a classroom with children. Now some may say what if he has a gas mask...well it totally doesnt prevent the shooter from the gas and the gas may ruin a shooters line of sight on the children

My point w the tear gas.. Im hoping to force the shooter out into the larger hallways and away from the kids in the smaller classrooms

If citizens did give up their guns there wouldn't be situations like this. And if pigs could fly, bacon would go up.

Guns kill people like flies cause garbage. Mental illness is a serious problem in this country and it's not being addressed properly properly. Look at the Sandy Hook shooting. Howling at the moon and mal ad osteo.

I couldn't believe I saw these same cops ......... harass and detain the parents outside of their perimeter. One father was tazered, a mother handcuffed, one of the cops tacked another parent. And that was the one limited video I saw. Standing there! Trying to keep parents calm? One mother apparently jumped the fence and went in and saved her two children. That would have been me. I swear. Nothing more dangerous than a mama bear protecting her children except if she had a gun.

I am so shocked with Texas being this lax. I always thought they were God fearing type people as best they can be but to allow 18-year-old's to buy weapons like this. I was recently told as I asked, what is really the West and of course told, Texas. plus I always thought schools today were like the gold place meaning you can not just walk through the door. My co-worker made me cry at work today telling me details of a little girl putting her class mates blood all over herself to pretend she was dead.
