The dreaded battery light came on the Ford update See below |

Nothing stresses a man more than speeding to get to work on time and looking down and seeing a light pop on the dash board... And in my case it is that fucktard check battery light.. But wait? Hold up...didn't you blog about this in January?Didnt you have the same problem? Didnt you put in a replacement alternator that solved this battery light issue? The answer is yes...and yes..I put in a refurb alt,new belt, new bat,new tensioner.. I've watched a few ford focus vids on YouTube and the guys there literally said this car eats alternators. He went through 5 before he sold it. Another dud claimed he was putting in alternators at a clip of one for ever year/ year and a half of driving. Huh? Another dude claimed the aftermarket ones arent build to stand the engine heat I put 2 in..3 if i have to do it again in 8 yrs. Maybe putting 10,000 miles a year on the car no less. And yes it is a bitch to swap out alternators...it's under and back near the firewall.. And in my case..simple test with the multimeter says.. The alternator and battery are fine...I tested it with no load and with a load.. But the light will pop on..May pop off..May stay on..or not..yet never loses any power Like yesterday I drove 5 miles from work to home and it never came on.. And this all started with a heavy assed rain.. So im still holding out hope that something is still wet. This weekend I will spend time cleaning up the ground and bat terminals...( and yes it has a brand new battery in it.. But I'm also not freaking out like I did last time. I have road side assist for a free tow..just in case the alt goes dead The alternator is in stock at the parts store and has a lifetime warrenty.. I know what tools I need to do the job. I know how to do the replacement.. But still...come on Ford.. it's bad enough your engineers put the alt in the worst place possible...you literally have to remove the lower motor mount and push the engine forward to get it out.. You car eats alternators..
