The doctor visit

 Well the doctor's visit went better than expected.

I chatted up the nurse and had her in stitches..

I ended up with a 150/? Reading for bp....

Eating tacos and refried beans the night before probably helped.

And the doctor ended up putting me on

Amlodipine bestylate 5 mg..

The weird thing is I'm an odd duck in an odd situation..
The doctor can't really play " house,m.d." because my employer got bought out and I'm still unsure what brand of health insurance we will be covered under.

So he can't even do a future blood test..I'm not sure if this doctor will be covered by their insurance starting April 1st???

And interestingly the doctor put in my file...
Hypertension caused by white coat syndrome..

Meaning ( to me)... I could run out tomorrow and fill out say a life insurance form and declair I don't have high bp...while still being on a bp med.

The same goes for my DOT physical. I can legally claim I don't have hypertension..

And to legally seal that from the doctors end..he refused to give me 2 more bp cuff test...he refused to diagnoses this as hypertension.

A bonus is he gave me a sleep agent to chill me out before I take my DOT physical in july..

And so far so good...some people get dizzy taking this med..I seem fine..
