We all watched the episode that proved Michael Scott of the office wasn't an idiot..

He left Dunder Mifflin and started his own paper company..

And tonight I walked in those same shoes...the old boss that still works for the new company..in

" some" sorta consultant role? Filled in today

Stayed after work and started to ask me questions..

Mostly he wanted intel.

So I'm stuck between someone that gave me a job for 20 yrs vs a new company that pays me..
But I'm not fond off..

And honestly..if we could turn back time...

Say 15 yrs ago..

And if the boss asked me to leave corporate and drive for him..

Much like Michael Scott asked of his assistant regional manager..er..assistant to the regional manager..

I find myself saying yes.
..even now older I still see that killer salesman instinct in my old boss..

And I feel...a guy that knows everything..teamed with a bust a nut driver...

Makes me sad..of what we had...of what we used to be

We were a simple company..

And like the old boss said..

We ran and we made money..

Now..I'm corporate and

Confirmed..using a computer program from 2000

Now part of me says that Michael Scott paper company dream is over..

There is no getting the band back together..

Now I feel like I must hide and just disappear into this company..

That I shouldn't help my old boss with intel..

Cause that will only expose me..

Another part of me says..

Why do I care..

There will always be jobs for someone like me that..

Isn't corporate..

The garbage company..the porta pot companies don't care..

Will always hire me
