Some new year gym tips


It's that time of the year where tons of people contemplate going back to the gym..

But unlike most twinks on tiktok, I've been lifting for 20 some odd years..

So I thought I'd give some simple tips

1. Fancy gyms? Why waste your money? For 75 percent of the population a planet pizza sorta gym is more than equiped for your needs. Why pay 100s of dollars???

I not a paid spokesman for the company. Just expressing my thoughts..unless you can bench 3 plates..then your good.

2. Less is more...sure I'm saying don't live at the gym.

But what I really mean there comes a point where you can only get so big naturally..

I think it's better to be smaller,lighter so the muscle stands out better..

So I'm 216.lb.in my bulking/ fat stage...did nothing to get me bigger..well in the belly..

But I'm better looking dropping below 200lbs..

So if you want to be " big"...sometimes it's just a matter of prospective..then get smaller. Remember you looking for a certain look..your not there to be a bodybuilder

Dropping a few pounds can change your body image.

3. The gym can seem like a prison...esp at planet pizza where they only got like 4 smith machines and some chick is doing an hr long butt thrust day hogging it..

Like bro where can I bench if all the benches are being used?

But don't fret....let the fluff bunnies and lunk heads clog up the free weights..

Be smart and Hogg the cable machines...

On a simple cable machine you can do exercises for biceps,tris,lats,delts,back,pecs..

And you will get a better work out.

Fuck I did a standing row and it literally hit my lats better than the cable rowing station.

Cables are great because they give you constant tension as you work out.

4. Weight loss is a bitch...and the irony is it usually occurs on the kitchen table and not the gym. I can lift like a mfer for a hr and not drop any weight..

Lifting is for strength,size..it won't reduce that belly or ass.

Cardio is helpful but...

I think it just helps stoke the fire/your metabolism ..instead of really dropping the big time lbs.

I'm talking about the average Joe at planet pizza that hops on the tread mill for 30 min to an hr..

Instead consider what you eat and how much you eat..

By this I mean look up the GI scale of food on the internet

It will give you the natural break down of these foods in your system...the longer it takes,the more likely it is to be stored as fat.

It's the basis of ALOT of the fad diets of the 2000s

So there is no need to spend $$$ on specific keto this or that

My point..the gym is a great place..

But it really starts with a good healthy diet
