Would Y/you trust anyone else's suggestion on music? I listen to any genre of music....well within reason lol So I'm now fed up of Elvis, 60s, 80s,90's country and certain other bands or singers. Most of these like Elvis, 60's and country I grew up with as my folks listened to them. So I asked a Dom friend (yeah yeah got more Dom friends than I do sub sisters /brothers) if He had any suggestions and He gave me a list and said to ask when I wanted more. Now a few I know and others never heard of. The ones He has suggested I rather like especially a certain few and I'm looking forward to listening to more. So would Y/you ask another person for music to listen to? |

If they know your taste in music, and they know music and love music and understand what it means to you, trust them cautiously. If music is not a important component of their lives, forget about is a as Donny Brasco would say.

I'm pretty much stuck on what I like but there's a few bloggers here that mention tunes I've never heard of. I always go take a listen on the Tube.

IMHO except for very few artists new music after 2000 suKs as does majority of hip hop crap! w o Elvis Chuck Berry Carl Perkins RnR woulda takin longer to evolve & take root soo many artist were inspired by them who gave us a ton of great music from Beatles to Stones to Clapton to Jimi to Led Zep to Allman Bros to Santana to Bob Seger to Bruce Springsteen to Chicago to Coldplay to GnR to Brad Paisley etc. on & on they were all influenced by Elvis BB King Chuck Berry & co as well the bands l stated above who came before them! I like what l like there’s no rhyme or reason nor specific genre l like it because it resonates w in me regardless who made it!

I've turned a lot of people on to David Bowie in the past, quite a few people onto Nick Cave years before Peaky Blinders and also doing the jazziest dancing to Chatterton (Mick Harvey version), but the thing is, are they picking up on the music, or the experience when they first heard it?

Certainly. This is how you learn about new music, since somebody somewhere has to introduce you to it. If you like Bluesy Jazz or Jazzy Blues let me know what you think about: Treat Her Right / Morphine Mark Sandman If this doesn't strike a chord, then probably not groovin' on the same frequencies kitty cat.
