David Attenborough says that a good rule of thumb is it;s extinct if you haven't seen a wildlife programme about it on BBC....

As for me, I go by the rule that is no-one's found one by checking down the sofa, you can farily safely say - yep they're gone....

I'm equally concerned about species that would impreove the planet by being extinct.... Boris Johnson , Rees Mogg and Priti Patel woul do...

I'm pretty certain that there aren't any more dinosaurs. Lots of species have come and gone without so much as a whisper.

99% of all creatures that have ever lived are now extinct. It is simply natures way and evolution.
