You should have cooked, and broken up the bacon and added it to the mix, otherwise, great idea

that's my kind of cooking. But if you're lazy like me, you don't even need to bake it.
Pour a bit in a cup, mix in a little water and stir until it's thick and goey.
Then spoon away.
