 Scary is wondering how many votes it will take to choose the next speaker… and how many deals THAT person will make to get elected. And how little will get done in the House WHILE they go through all that. Then ANOTHER shutdown threat by the Republicans.

Shut it down and throw away the key as far as I am concerned. Cr's are total crap.
Hard decisions have to be made on the governments outrageous spending. Lots of programs will have to be cut. I live on a balanced budget.....the government needs to as well..... Approaching $33.5 trillion now. It is about at the point that it would take a nuclear attack now to stop it.....

Many people DEPEND on Government programs. Maybe you don't. Elderly and disabled will suffer needlessly. But then when did republicans care about the elderly or disabled... or veterans.
Try raising taxes on the rich and closing the loopholes they use to pay NO taxes.
Trump paid no taxes while in office. Why? Because he owns nothing. His organization does. And his organizations have already been noted as tax dodgers, one of many corporate entities that pay almost nothing in taxes while the middle class that republican care little about pay the bulk of the taxes.
