It comes down to remaining true to yourself. Lord knows I've done the compromise thing with mixed results. I'll happily enjoy myself until that right one comes along.

I have compromised before, and it has cost me dearly. There is wisdom here, not in opposing compromise, which you do not endorse, but in finding the moments in which it is important enough.

Checking all the boxes. Well, there are big boxes and little boxes to check. One should not compromise on those big boxes. Little boxes are like icing on the cake. If you get all of the, great.
