As an aging musician I'm trying to adjust and just make music. Maybe easier for a songwriter rather than a cover artist. I don't hit the high notes and fingers on guitar don't move as fast. I accept it but can't stop. Playing and listening to music is too much a part of me.

David Crosby and Graham Nash, still have it. But agreed, many loose much of the vocal ability after 60.

"Rock -n- Roll may never die, but you will."

Aaaw, & I thought I was going to live forever.
Interesting to find this out about you poetess, from things you've posted before I
thought your artistic talents were more in the painting line, & uum poetry maybe.
Of course as you so often post song lyrics, should have been a clue I suppose.

When I was much younger I was bass player in a band. I also had some friends
who were in a band. Now they had something I lacked, now what was it, ah yes,
I remember, talent. So I ended up being their roadie, sound engineer, van driver.
We had some great times, I did miss it when it all ended.

All the best - take care.

Being a music fanatic, I can relate. I saw Collective Soul as well. ( Back in '98 I think??) Great piece, thanks for sharing it. I hope you are well.

Depends on the musician, Poetess. I recently got a new CD by Buddy Guy, the last of the Old Chicago bluesmen left. His voice and guitar work sound as good as they did when I first saw him back in 1970 at the Fillmore West. And like the title of his CD says "The Blues is Live and Well" and so is he
