Very nice blog post, IP. I'm not that familiar with Blige or her work, but the lyrics to her dilemma, coupled with the heartfelt eloquence and candor of your sketched scene, touched a chord. 'Now what are we gonna do?" or 'They were just flowing, seeing if they fit," and in the process, "healing" their respective "past wounds."I'm sure all of us have gone through something like this sort of internal self-interrogation & -partner appraisal/relationship critique along the way, and can relate. Keeep the well-constructed & well-received blog posts coming, IP--they are always worth a careful reading by your fans to stimulate their further cogitation on interesting & diverse matters, past, present, and future.
