Being Too Much Woman In A Man's World Isabelle had become more and more cynical as each male disappointed her with their brash disregard for ethics. They disliked her classiness, for they had to meet the standard she set. They belittled her for her endless talents and creativity, theirs would never match her depth. They scorned her for her game, which made her one of the most successful female hustlers on the beach. They despised her ability to whip them in billiards, as if she were cheating them out of a male legacy to beat women in the sport. They detested her ability to outwit them in banter or knowledge of "male interests", like politics, classic cars, and most definitely kink. They loathed her beauty, for it showed their insecurities and disbelief in deserving a real Queen. All of her traits were tantalizing to their desires, in the beginning. But, Isabelle waited with baited breath, for the guillotine's sharp whooshing descent, as the blade cut through air, and anything in its path. She could feel the shift in energy. And, although she tried to tell them,, they never heeded her advice, nor accepted their own flaws as the causation. Isabelle spoke with her one male confidant one night "I am cursed to never get the healing shelter my heart and soul needs." She lamented over her martini. "But you have me" Adam popped off at her with those puppy eyes "Oh Adam, I wish that cured my aching heart and my need for love" Isabelle rose and straightened her cashmere sweater at the bottom from sitting. She tossed her hair back and walked out to get into into her little red corvette. The engine cranked smoothly before revving to take off. This is a man's world, this is a man's world But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl You see, man made the cars to take us over the road Man made the train to carry the heavy load Man made electric light to take us out of the dark Man made the boat for the water, like Noah made the ark This is a man's, man's, man's world But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl Man thinks about our little bitty baby girls and our baby boys Man made them happy, 'cause man made them toys And after man make everything, everything he can You know that man makes money, to buy from other man This is a man's world But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing, not one little thing, without a woman or a girl He's lost in the wilderness He's lost in bitterness, he's lost lost

I've raised six daughters and the strongest know that comparing yourself to others is just laziness. You are not meant to fit in . . You're meant to stand out. If you blame your situation on another person you're fooling yourself. A woman will never change a man because she loves him . . He will change himself because he loves her. It is only a man's world, in a man's mind! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KcbbzsRhZs My writing is not necessarily how I think about a subject. It may be a small piece of my actual beliefs interlaced with what was going on at the time for my character. Just saying... Commendations for raising 6
