The taking away of points for IM messages that do not even connect with the recipient as well as connecting with new users (used to reimburse 45 points on first fan request) has greatly reduced the opportunities on alt for non paying members. I have never or will ever beg for points, there are ways to collect points if you are willing to put some time in.
