I totally agree with you. For all the fact that there are still good people here it is so depressing wading through all the twattery to find them that I find myself that close as well. Railing against those who have reduced what was once a friendly and rewarding place to a willy waving contest is a fruitless task.

As the so called warning on on-line gambling suggests; "When the fun stops; STOP!" Well this place ain't much fun any more so...

With no leadership you get the mob. And the mob is what this leader wants.

Crowds gathered in Astoria, Queens, without social distancing or masks on the morning of July 18, 2020.

I'm not also warm and fuzzy. This happened 3 blocks from my daughter's apartment. The gathering took place less than two days after Cuomo announced a crackdown on bars and restaurants in New York City that defy social distancing rules.

“Three strikes and you’re closed,” the governor said Thursday.

Cuomo also said establishments can only sell alcohol to people who are also ordering food.

Cuomo's acted responsibly unlike other governors and president numbnuts who will not issue a national order for wearing a mask because he says it's a personal choice. He is also trying to cut funds for testing.even though masks and quick and accurate testing is currently the only way we can control this pandemic.

One of the problems of social media (and media in general) is how quickly it can now make us aware of how many stupid people are out in the world.

    Quoting  :

I am with you on avoiding the folks who talk stupid and do stupid. I am constantly amazed at the number of people not wearing masks, going out to bars and such.

I am not going to run with that herd. They are like Wildebeests crossing the crocodile infested river.

I don't suffer fools gladly. I'm okay with talking to people about what's bothering them, but i'm not interested in responding to a bunch of nonsense generated by confirmation bias disguised as analysis. I know which is which and just avoid the latter. I try to limit myself to administering one ass kicking per customer. If they want to pontificate after that, they can do it without me.

I've taken a "take what you need and leave the rest" to this whole calamity. I will not enter into any type of debate.....the more you stir shit the more it stinks.

Is the other forum Fet? I've had a profile over there for about a decade. I rarely use it but it has a lot of pros over Alt and what the blog section here has become. The writing section over there is nice...it lacks the interactivity of a blog arena but that's is increasingly becoming less of a perceived problem for me.

I wish that Cuomo was on the ticket in November. I enjoyed watching his briefings.
He would give me a better feeling than either parties choice right now.
Another year when I vote the lesser of two evils
