You really made me smile when you talked about the county fair. I think this is the time of the year for the Butler County Fair.

I have avoided the County Fair for years. Once you had mini donuts with a sort of warm beer, you learn how to avoid the sour tummy afterwords. "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"

Finally got the 4th shot and you know me. Arm hurts but that's major brunt of it. I was hoping to wait until later as I intend to travel but the number don't look good...anywhere.

Growing up in Brooklyn I did not go to a county fair in my youth. Soon after I was married while on vacation in Vermont we went to the Essex Junction County fair because one night there was a Charlie Pride concert. We then started going to County fairs especially when my daughter was young. I bought my Bedroom & Dining room furniture from a Vermont furniture company that we saw at Essex Junction and at the last Danbury fair. In Danbury to paraphrase Joni Mitchell they tore the fairground down and built a mall with a parking lot. In Duchess County NY there is a fairground where where we go to various activities like wine tasting and the Sheep & Wool Festival. The latter is really a Sheep Thrill [image]

The Sheep and Wool Show is legendary. I havent made it there, but I attend the one in Maryland when I can. There is a building with the word Horticulture on it. Every time I see that building I think of the Dorothy Parker quote. When playing a word game she had to make a sentence with the word Horticulture.
