Warning Warning Warning

I am just spill some of my rambling thoughts...not sure it will appeal or make sense many but..you have been warned.

Have you ever just met someone, and without knowing them, made an assumption?
Why do we as humans, do that. Why has that type of thought became part of me. I know. You might say, because we are human.. it happens. Its what we do.
Its just something I have recognized in myself and is something I am from this time forward, going work changing about myself..we need be open change. We need work becoming better HUMANS

I believe it is human nature to formulate opinions on someone quickly. The important thing is to not to close your mind off because the initial opinion could prove false.

Isn't this just a survival instinct? Most animals seem to do it too. Something we have to learn, or some might say it is built into us.

I think it is a survival instinct. An open mind is essential as we sometimes get it very wrong. What a joy when somebody we first thought badly of turns out to be a gem, conversely when somebody we find attractive or interesting turns out the opposite. That's when out human resilience comes in...

I know I've done it but found my instincts to be totally off base when I got to know the person.

Well....you've taken the first step towards enlightenment. Sometimes a bias can work to your advantage. Being biased may or may not be a bad thing.

Many times I've been biased towards someone and after getting to know them better. I became pleasantly surprised and had a complete change of mind.

On the other hand I've Also become disappointed with someone because my expectations were high to begin with and they didn't live up to those expectations.

Often the flaws we see in others are the very ones we can't see in ourself.

You should look over your blogs and see if people are telling you what they think you want to hear, or what they really believe.

You're a woman. A woman knows when someone is feeding them bullshit to get in their pants.(mostly)

I always say what I believe and not what someone wants to hear.
If I present any criticism. I'll offer a solution.

A lot of people say they have an open mind, but are they living their life that way?, or is their mind open only when someone conforms to their narrative.

Sorry to take up so much space here, I can be passionate to a fault as well as dominant. Good luck on your journey to enlightenment....Rick

Yea, first impressions can be wrong. BUT, the older I get the more I trust my instincts...
