What lies on the far side of normal, I wonder? Is there truly such a thing as "normal" since the experiences that shape us all, whilst the same, carve us into unique sculptures and no two see the world through identical eyes.

Now that you have hit 50 you need to realize that it's not about life being short but how you live the next years of your wonderful life. If there is a fire to be lit I'm sure someone will come along and light it and in the process and give you some normal and some other than normal.

It was exactly my point, how to live the next coming years. Light is in me, it is just the matter of possible sharing with someone who would know how or just dare to switch it on. Whatever happens, all is good as long as there is light.

The trick is to know when you're presented with an opportunity. Sometimes an opportunity has also an expiration date. Try connecting with someone on a mental level without any expectations except having good company and good conversation. I'm not trying to say what to do, I'm only saying what I do. It's funny how many claim to be looking for someone to have a meaningful relationship with while they are screwing someone on the side. If I have to be second I'd rather be nothing. I hope you feel the same. Nothing is perfect and someone waiting for the perfect conditions will always be waiting. I've always been attracted to a woman's mind first. I've made plenty of mistakes, but each time I do. I learn something. Maybe I'll the chance to interact with you another time. I hope you'll be safe and have a pleasant evening.

It took me a while to learn to love myself enough not to settle for lesser than I really desire in all senses. Remaining alone not necessary means I am lonely. But I would rather get sweat jogging then with being with a wrong one. It's about connection on all levels, not only physical. As someone said, there are no mistakes, only lessons, hopefully learned well. Stay safe
