We live in an increasingly intolerant world, it seems. Whilst there is little an individual can do to change that, we all have the freedom to set our own standards for how we treat others and seek to be treated.

The pace of day to day life, let me pick a point, since the millennium seems to have increased exponentially. Now that I am finally one of the old folk, I see what the old folk were complaining about all these years. But now technology has made it even worse. Nobody has time. We don't talk on the phone any more, we text. We don't write with pencil or pen on paper, we type. We type every little thing. Why? Because it speeds up the process. And what do we do with all the time we freed up? We simply create more complexities. Making out a paper check the other day I forgot momentarily how to write in cursive. I go though a grocery checkout. I say "thank you" and they remain silent. They don't have time to say "you are welcome" or "have a nice day." The last time I was actually with a submissive woman I asked her to sit next to me on the edge of the bed and just talk to me about anything but mainly about herself. I see the pace of today's daily life as a thing of stress. It creates stress and it thrives on stress. I am not sure if I missed the point of this post, but it gave me a chance to vent. I hope there was value to the words.

To use some of your grouped words we are all unique and "imperfect human beings." We are all sensitive to some degree. Not sure what the bench mark is on that. Take the time, make the time or when you have the time for someone who is sensitive and must have patience for someone like you? Not sure that came out right. Probably not. Concerning time. Making time is okay, but that does not give one absolute freedom of thought. When you have time, now that's he one. That is when one is truly free to think. And those can be special moments to savor. I hate my laptop. The keys are really not making contact. Have you priced laptops lately? They have doubled since COVID. It's late.  I just noticed that I commented before. LOL It must be late.
