Sadness is a rite of passage that we all get to know, sooner or later. The most profound is the death of a lover; you feel you are a million miles from shore and drownning in tempestuous seas. In that circumstance, the only thing that stops you wanting oblivion is the knowledge that they want you to go on and others need you. If you have looked this in the face, it gives you the certainty that the end of a relationship, no matter how precious, is but the curtain raiser for greater adventures to come. Sadness, even of the most profound sort, does diminish with time. If somebody was foolish enough to let you go, know that sooner or later you will find somebody who sees all the beauty and promise within you - that somebody will not make the same mistake.

time passes, they say it soothes everything or is it that we just learn to live with the echo of days when we truly lived, loved, and were the best versions of ourselves... we learn to calm the demons unless they eat us away before that...
