 There's a huge difference between escaping and avoiding. The upside of being disappointed is the knowledge that happier times are possible. The joy you found with Mr Very Nearly, will surely only be a foretaste of the pleasure of finding the one that anticipates your needs, caters for them and treasures you as much as you do him. With each day that passes, that encounter nears; the frustration is that you don't know how many days still lie between you. I think that you have a lot to offer and the relationship you want is out there.

Thank you for your kind words, Raven_GB. Not really that I see myself in search of another relationship. In my age and with this fiasco I shall try to find peace within my own self and those rare ones that love me. I am obviously not capable of establishing and nurturing a relationship...
