If I was fully convinced that an individual would be a lifelong partner, who I would regret not making the effort/trip for. Well that surely would be my loss.

Skully and Mulder......now weren't they that pair that heated up the screen. For the right person I have thought about making a very big move.

These were Hank and Karen in Californication... great tv series that had seven seasons I think.. I kind of think that there is many who do take these kind of steps or actions to further a relationship or at least initiate one, but here...too much distrust it seems.

I want to believe you are right here, that there are many who would take steps, not just talk about them until the time is there... I want to believe there are those who stand behind their words and have guts and respect to even if they changed their mind, will use that ticket, get on that plane, and do what is needed to respectfully end everything if that's how they feel. For love, absolutely. But love can't exist in the abstract and certainly not on line where people hide themselves behind a keyboard and can be whatever they want to be (although some remain true to themselves). It all depends what you want, a fling, an affair, or forever. You have to be sure that your wishes align before travelling to the ends of the earth in search of a unicorn.
