It's not as it's always easy, but what else is there... whether physical or mental, to keep on walking. As for motivation, I have downloaded an app that counts my steps... yesterday I made 4969 steps or 3.3 km... so something to start with and push myself to be more physically active. Mentally motivating myself is a bit different and a bit more difficult as there are very few things if any that motivate me to keep walking towards some goals I had. But I still keep on walking... so I guess it is a basic human instinct not to give up on yourself.

Ex

This is a wonderful photograph!

Yes, it can be hard to get started but once a routine is established it is easier to exercise regularly!

Jenny, I so loved the photography too. And the title is so appropriate.. to always keep walking... even on a 'rainy' days...
It is hard to establish new habits, true that, but I love walking, and now when winter is gone, almost, I should be back on track soon, I hope

Great photo, Ex. As for a step tracker, I think that's a brilliant idea. I do close to 10,000 each day that I'm on the clock. On days that I'm off the clock, I do close to 5,000. A body in motion is great for you. xx

Thank you, M, glad you like the photo too.
I need to be back in motion, as soon as possible, as long hours sitting in the office do not any good.
And I made 5740 steps today, so feeling pleased how it all goes for the start... and it was a walk in the rain, which made it all even more pleasant... xx

WONDERFUL beginnings! Everyone starts somewhere, and 3.3 km is a great start! The mental challenge IS more difficult, most times, than the physical, and instinct will carry most through the physical. Stay KEENLY aware of the mental challenge that arises as you push the physical, that's where things become clouded and MORE challenging, and instinct can't always provide the where with all to go on...

If only there was an app for mental steps to remind me to 'walk' more there
But I am a Taurus, determined and devoted, so will find my way to bring some motivation back to life.

There are very few things, if any, that motivate me to keep walking towards some goals .....

Motivation comes from within. I have little doubt that when you set your mind to something, you accomplish it. Just think how great you're gonna look in your polka dot dresses!

For those of us too brain dead to understand the metric system, 3.3 km equals 2.05 miles. That's a pretty good start, if you ask me. Walking my dogs many times a day keeps me logging some mileage.

It does come from within, Plz, and that within has been emptied for quite some time, even years.
But... there is that one polka dot dress looking at me from a window shop on my way to and from the office... so many dots there to motivate

I have enjoyed today in my 'walking in the rain', no singing though, but a lot of fresh air and clearing my mind of junk thoughts

I am not a quiter, so keeping up, walking, trying, ... that is how I am wired.
Sometimes I got tired, I slow down a bit, but never quit.
You do a great thing with your miles!
I made over 5000 steps today which is around 3.8 km so that aint bad either for my second day
