GOOD MORNING, Ex! WOW! Two very distinctively different posts from you this morning! I got a chuckle out of the first one, with "Rose" and the mermaid with Jack. I think Jack had a pretty good grip on his "reasons to live" based on his personality and the way he lived his life (in the movie), and when he met Rose, he was "SMITTEN", and his whole world changed, he found someone he TRULY cared about and would do ANYTHING for, including die so that she might continue to live (my opinion, of course...). Dreams are a whole other matter, and can be very really in the moment, and some can even be a premonition of things to come, I suppose. The ones that shake us and make us think can be fantastic and somewhat incongruous, for certain, especially when there's no real segue from reality in one's life to the dream that you've experienced. Deja vu, on the other hand, can just straight up FREAK you right out, experiencing a sense of having already seen something you're currently seeing or experiencing—coupled with knowing you haven't actually seen it, which is why it catches many people so off guard. It is explained to be the equivalent of a small brain "glitch," with two streams of thought colliding. Either can do a number on oneself, pondering the meaning or struggling to interpret the reason for such an experience! Here's something I hope will help you through the weekend as you try and interpolate your dream... "Spare a little candle Save some light for me Figures up ahead Moving in the trees White skin in linen Perfume on my wrist And the full moon that hangs over These dreams in the mist Darkness on the edge Shadows where I stand (Shadows where I stand) I search for the time On a watch with no hands I want to see you clearly Come closer than this (All that I remember) But all I remember Are the dreams in the mist These dreams go on when I close my eyes Every second of the night, I live another life These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside Every moment I'm awake, the further I'm away (Further I'm away) Is it Cloak and Dagger? Could it be Spring or Fall? I walk without a cut Through a stained glass wall (Weaker in my eyesight) Weaker in my eyesight The candle in my grip (And words that have no form) And words that have no form Are falling from my lips These dreams go on when I close my eyes Every second of the night, I live another life These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside Every moment I'm awake, the further I'm away (Further I'm away) There's something out there I can't resist I need to hide away from the pain There's something out there I can't resist The sweetest song is silence That I've ever heard (Never touch the earth) Funny how your feet in dreams Never touch the earth In a wood full of princes Freedom is a kiss (But the prince hides his face) But the prince hides his face From dreams in the mist These dreams go on when I close my eyes Every second of the night, I live another life These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside Every moment I'm awake, the further I'm away These dreams go on when I close my eyes (Every single second) Every second of the night, I live another life These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside Every moment I'm awake, the further I'm away..." "These Dreams" by Heart from the 1995 Album, "The Road Home" Have an ENJOYABLE weekend, Ex!

www.dreammoods.com has a great number of insights into dream interpretation...

I have to think, Ex, that dreams and their interpretations are driven by moods and levels of stress, which we experience, for the most part, at roughly the same point in our wakeful lives, particularly if those feelings suggest a lack, a vacancy, an emptiness, or a sense of incompleteness–unfinished business– in our finite journey through time. We must do our best to discount what seem to be cryptic and numinous harbingers of bad tidings, arbitrarily culled and hazily remembered from our dreams, whether these omens come through articulate beings or in a form more inscrutably symbolic, polysemous, and ambiguous. We must not allow these seeming harbingers to derail us or to take the wind out of our sails in our daily conscious endeavors and enterprises. A mirage will never slake our thirst for water. Do not over-complicate your life, Ex, with these kinds of dream divinations. I think the yoking in your dream of the haircut with the Doctor’s somber and depressive advice, which follows, seems a bit too forced and speculative, amounting to what might be called a dream state non sequitur. Let’s face it, in our dreams we are rapidly bombarded by a teeming welter of unrelated, heterogeneous, and incongruous images and often surreal, thoughts and imaginings, most of which will not submit to being later recalled. Trying to divine logic and meaning from this seeming kaleidoscope or avalanche of mental pictographs, strangely familiar scenes and characters, many of whom speak to us and/or are composites or hybrids of more than one person, seems like a fool’s errand, which can only add to the stress levels, and mood dispiritedness that already beset us in our wakeful lives. We must be careful not to impute design to things that, arguably, are fortuitous, stochastic, accidental, and/or coincidental. I can only hope you will not actually allow yourself to take sick based on your putative or hypothetical dream divinations or prognostications. Stay well, instead, and enjoy your much-deserved planned travels away from the homefront.

My Dear Ex💋... Dreams give you a good night's sleep...💤😌💤

Hey!!!! It's a dream - not a premonition, so relax and be that happy go lucky CAF Ex that we all know and love. Here's a little tune I wager you've never heard that you ( once again ) reminded me of. All I Have To Do Is Dream by the Everly Brothers. It was released in 1958. Ooooo ..... Great selection. Yep .... From back in the day when you could actually hear the lyrics. I'll wager Ex will have this on her play list the next time she's cleaning house. Hey .... Those lyrics could be us dreaming about Ex! They could indeed ..... Make Women Female Again

Oh my Ex dreams can foresee things or give answers to problems but reality is not necessarily how the dream played out cuz you saw a dr said to start chemo earlier doesn’t mean you have cancer but there is a cancer (problem) in your life affecting your happiness...do not despair you are ok all is good tight squeeze girl!

I love Plzr's choice of music! Most of my dreams are so vivid I can remember them for hours after I awake. Most of mine are of being lost or losing something.....I suppose it means something but I'm not going to let them ruin my day.

wow - what a startling dream - hope everything's OK.

Ex, I've had dreams like that at times. I usually sit up on the edge of the bed, rub my hands through my hair, and say to myself, "Whew, glad that was a dream", then get up and start my day. Too many things affect your dreams, like what you eat or drink before you sleep. To me, dream interpretation is like astrology. Not a very reliable map for future directions.

We spend roughly 1/3rd of or time under the influence of our subconscious mind. I concur with bdsmDOMdaddy, that dreams are messages from that time. Something to pay attention to. When I dream of old friends, I will see them in the next few days. When I am searching for an answer, I sleep on it and usually have it the next day, sometimes have to sleep on it a couple of nights, but I do get my answer. Sounds like something that might be festering in your life, needs more attenttion than what you are giviing it. Something you currently see as no big deal You might try thinking what is the problem, tonight, when drifting off to sleep...

Ex I believe some dreams reflect our sub-conscious thoughts! I hope the chemotherapy was part of the nightmare and you do not need it? A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. George Bernard Shaw Jenny

I'm certain that some dreams mean something and other dreams mean nothing. I think it's open to interpretation. I have had remarkable dreams. I'm not going to get into the psychobabble because my training is in engineering and hard Sciences. I hope that your dreams are Pleasant. Howling at the moon and mal ad osteo.

Sometimes, dreams can be so real! They scare you/ me! In my case, most of the time, they have some other/deeper meaning, in relation to things happening in my life... Most of the time, i just have to take the time to think things over, and not take it all too literal.. Sometimes i have recuring dreams... i know the metaphysical meaning behind it... I dont make it too big a thing. I hope you feel better, now, and can give it a place in your day to day living.... in connecting with things happening in your life. Take care.
