I purchase points to chat on instant messager. The website creates fake profiles. Question is do they put fake profiles on IM so that I send messages that go no where so they can sell me more points? Is that legal?

I do not know if it is legal or not. I would say more than likely it is a gimmick for them to earn money off of you. I do not bother with IM. Some people use their blog for communicating with others. I hope you find those who are real and are not of the flakes and fakes that populate these sites.

Why is it I never see my profile on the IM list? And it never shows in my profile when I'm online.

I am sure they do. The other thing that happens is you spend points to IM someone who isn't on and even when the system isn't functioning properly. They really should only deduct if the connection is made

You are correct, the services and features of this site are broken in many ways, IMC failing to connect is just one of them. This stie has become a total scam since the new owner purchased the site. If you want this site to improve. Stop paying the criminal who owns this site Any money at all. Why pay for a broken site that steals from you? Only when no income is gained from ALT, then will he be forced to fix the site for the better. 5 Users have reported theft from credit cards when they cancel gold membership, the site charges them for an extra month. Users have also reported identity theft when they use the confirm ID system. Do not trust the new owner of this site, He is a common thief and criminal who should not be trusted with your personal information.

I agree with ya hun....it is a moneymaker for the site......you used to be able to IM for free......and they used to - dont know if they still do.....but most if not all women......were given gold member status pretty quickly....but not us men! lol
