Fake Nigerian? Seriously?! some idiot has just posted comments my pictures saying my profile is a fake Nigerian one and the pics are too! Troll. No substantiation offered. He thinks he can just go flinging mud for the sake of it. How rude. Needless to say, I've contacted alt with my concerns. Also, if I was Nigerian I wouldn't be faking it; I'd be proud. So he's racist too. Feeling pretty angry. Ps. Just figured out how to ban him. I get so pissed when people fling mud with no basis for it. It just feels vicious. Hey ho that 's the way of the world it seems. |

If it is any consolation Emily2791 - one of my ALT buddies - who also has Emily as part of her ALT name had the exact same experience - no doubt from the same fucked up miserable individual and in her case I can 100% voucher for the fact she is not fake and definitely not Nigerian. So obviously that miserable individual has it in for every Emily - must make him feel oh so powerful making shit up like that - what a wanker... Block him, forget him and enjoy the people who enjoy real fun

Seems we all get accused of being fakes quite a lot. Ive not been told Im Nigerien (yet!) but HAVE been contacted by a "Nigerian prince" asking me to help him smuggle money!!! Now thats a REAL faker! Best advice is to ignore such people.

They do so by research into their grammar, and the origins of their photos. There are also morons who have jumped on the bandwagon and have no idea of what they are doing. Unfortunately for you, a moron has stepped up to the plate, but he struck out. So why did he pick you. One possibility is the user name you have chosen. Many fakes will have a name with a 3 or 4 digit number at the end. This allows them to have many accounts with differing numbers, so as to spread a wide net, while having names that are easy to remember. Another thing that is common is the chosen location. I believe they have a list with town names in alphabetical order, being too lazy to go too far down the list, the chosen location nearly always starts with an A or B. A good example of this is the number of profiles that have popped up lately of a young girl that throws out scenarios for comment. All of them appently like to suck cooks, and come from Ajax, Canada. Seriously, wouldn't you just say Toronto? I'm sure a lot of people reading this will be aware of what I'm saying, even the women are starting to call them out. As for your situation, those that call it wrong are the ones so stupid, you don't want to entertain them. The smart will see around that and do their own research. The above info is from my own observations, and is in no way an opinion, it just is what it is. Sorry to hear you got incorrectly caught up in it.

thank you taste tester. I guess I'm pretty ignorant all in all. The profile was honest, set up when I was feeling v horny. Anyone who chats with me in IM would know I'm genuine. I guess what upset me is that he didn't even try to check that way. I understand there are probably plenty of fakers out there for whatever reason.

OK folx, there ARE Nigerian scammers on alt. Just ask a suspicious sounding alt member 'Alaye' and see what they say. It is a shibboleth for Nigerian scammers https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/alaye
