That is my dilemma! I love blogging on Alt! But all the other shit on the site is questionable... The scammers that patrol the site remind me of Shark Week! I see myself slowly transitioning to another site... A site that is aggressively trying to keep scammers out. Where your identity is verified through pictures taken in certain ways, and other ways I am not certain of... It's time consuming, it's a hassle to sign up, but so be it... From my research so far the blogs are not happening, which is a disappointment. And will keep me from leaving Alt totally at this time.. Plus, at first glance, the profiles seem a bit subdued, don't quite have the edge as Alt... But as in all things, sometimes you have to compromise for the greater good.. I am just excited about a site that doesn't want the scammers and bots... And is trying to prevent it from happening. Surely, I will post more as I find out about the site... ~ Physical strength is measured by what we carry. Inner strength is measured by what we can bear. ~

i left the site for all the reasons you have said . all the scammers and fake profiles , came back to leave my personal email for a sekllected few friends . but will soon be leaving . i cant imagine a reason why any one would want to hassle a qualty and level headed girl like you . peace and love

A site that doesn't want the scammers and bots. Are we talking some sort of Shangri-La site where life is one big bowl of cherries? Must be. But without the scammers and bots, we have one less subject to blog and comment about. There goes 1/2 of the blogs from new, unsuspecting members. Maybe so, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. This site may not be perfect but rarely can you find that anymore. But, you have to decide what works best for you whatever that may be.

I think that there are several of us checking out that same site. I need to convert the cost to dollars

There is no perfect place or space, it's about the connection you establish with certain people or not, the connection you have made... that's what keeps you somewhere, wherever it may be.. there will always be some downsides.. anywhere you go, yet we chose where we feel most comfortable... take care wherever you may go, dear pac

As has already been said I think there's a few of us checking that other site. After all, the alure of a site that you might actually be able to contact & meet people seeking the same things is strong. Whether it actually works out like that, well we'll see. In the meantime I hope you'll keep blogging here, at least for now.

But if you do bite the bullet and leave for good, I do hope you will write to the AltMonkeys and tell them just why you are leaving... (not that I would expect them to do a damn thing about it!)
