Even the pro's self destruct... The cruel thing about golf is this. You have played outstanding golf for 3 full days, plus holes the final day... You are in the final group. Harris English has a 4 shot lead on the field. Bryson DeChambeau has a 2 shot lead on them. It should be a classic match play duel between the two of you. The expected winner should be one of you.. But ohh noo... Golf doesn't play that way... Up jumps the devil or the th hole... Harris hits his ball in the water and finishes the hole with a double bogey.. Yikes.. 2 shots back to the field... Even with Bryson's great opportunity what does he do? Over amps it and hits it in the water on the back side of the green. He finishes with a triple bogey... This was the beginning of the end for both of these players... Oh many excuses are abundant. Such as being on the clock for slow play, or the numerous fans chanting derogatory words toward Bryson. Who is far from a beloved player. The bottom line is this... Neither of these players won the tournament and both imploded with bad play on the remaining holes... So... when you have a bad day at the course cut yourself some slac.. Because even pro's have horrible days! ~ Physical strength is measured by what we carry. Inner strength is measured by what we can bear. ~ |

pac I seem to remember Greg Norman had a few last bad days too! (He also had some very good ones) A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. George Bernard Shaw Jenny

...no such thing as a bad day on the course... There's been times I couldn't stop slicing my drives to the point I thought I was a loaf of bread.! Saw a bumper sticker one time, " blame it on the clubs". Fucking hardest sport there is...

I try to take something positive out of every shot. I'm not playing for money, well at least not big money, it's supposed to be fun.
