Palindrome... A word, phrase, number that reads the same forward and backwards. Madam and racecar are a couple of examples... This rare event happening today on calendars worldwide. Celebrating "deuces wild". 02-22-2022 being referred t o as "twosday"! Isn't that clever? Enjoy it while you can. The next one is 400 years from now in 2422! Uh .... Let's think this through, shall we. What about 2222? It may not fall on an actual 'Tuesday', but I'd say 2-22-2222 trumps anything with another number in it .... such as the '4'. Hell, the next 'twosday' could fall on a Sunday for all I'd care. If it isn't pure 2's, I'd consider it disqualified. Me too, but WTF do we know?  By the way, wouldn't 2-22-2222 be the last un-bastardized 'Twosday' in eternity?Make Women Female Again

All the LV wedding chapels are booked today, as they were on 07/07/2007 (I was there that week on vacation and it was a zoo). As an aside, in LV, the slot machines arrive with a pre-programmed computer chip - the random number generator - that has been set for a certain payback percentage, depending upon what the casino has ordered. In order to change that chip on any particular machine requires authorization from the NV gaming commission and lots of paperwork. There's no magic switch. Your odds of winning are the same every day, i.e., pretty lousy. Besides, given the pent-up demand ftom the pandemic, Clark County casinos have been raking in $ billion a month. They don't HAVE to cheat you. People (including yours truly) have been throwing money at them.

I think you have to remove the "0's" to be a palindrome else it isn't the same forwards and backwards is it? I'm looking forward to 2/22/22222 in about 22,200 years or before that 11/11/11111

My pleasure as always. One other point - Indian tribe casinos don't operate in the same manner as those in Nevada. For example, in Nevada, the payback in video poker machines is determined by the pay table of the particular game itself, which vary from machine to machine. However, play is dealt from a new 52-card (or more, if playing jokers wild) deck. They are not programmed, like slots, to pay back a specific percentage - a few years ago, some people who put vp machines in Nevada gas stations went to jail for a long time for fixing their VP machines. I can't speak for ALL Indian casinos, but the general rule is that video poker machines at Indian casinos ARE programmed like slot machines, meaning that the inherent benefits of playing VP in Nevada are not available to the player.

TWO royals in the same night? Wowza! The Gods of Gaming were with you, pac. A Night to Remember, for many reasons. You're a lucky girl, young lady... You are probably aware that, according to the projections, if you play VP perfectly (and don't make mistakes when you've been drinking, like me), a royal may occur in 1 out of 40,000 hands. I've been playing VP using basic (but not-quite-so-perfect) strategy for 25 years and have never once gotten a royal. That said, there's nothing to say that I won't hit two the next time I play.

Like Iso, I was going to point out that it doesn't really work out as a Palindrome. Then I saw his comment & your reply, I was also going to question 'world wide,' as we don't all right the date the same way. Originally thinking it might work the US. way, but not the British way. Actually it does work if you write it out the British way. ddmmyyyy. 22022022 22022022 I've left out spaces or backslashes as they spoil it. As for 2422 I'll have to take their word for it, I really don't think I'll be around to check on them.
