What the f**k is going on??

pac spent four hours in the ER yesterday. And she has been diagnosed with a hernia!

Are you fucking kidding me?? Three days ago it just popped out of my skin, right under a scar she has had since she was seventeen years old...

She is in shock and quite depressed over this news! Next week needing t o see the surgeon...

She knows there's a lot of worse shit to get out there ...

But please don't rain down on her pity party today!

pac is sad and processing this bullshit!

Things like that hit all of us pac. Get the surgery as quick as you can so you can recover and get back into gold and traveling.

I agree Dark!
But I have already had enough surgeries to
last a lifetime...
Just need to vent and accept it...

I've been dealing with a partial hernia for years. Sorry for your pain pac, get well soon

pac369 replies on 2/23/2022 9:13 am:
Thanks r...
May I ask why you haven't fixed it?

I have been using KT tape on my stomach.
It knocks all the pain out. And haven't even used
a pain pill from the Dr yet...

Hey Pac,
Take plenty of time for it to heal after surgery. A guy at work started lifting too soon, it tore and got septic in there. Good luck! I'll say a prayer on your behalf.
Dave

Thanks Dave!

That's great advice... And I am a good patient
who listens to her Dr!

Hugs!

May you find that for which you search and get what you deserve.

The secret to not getting these things is to not turn 50.
As for those of us over 50, well.....

The last time I went to my doctor, he asked "Do you have any concerns?"
I said, "Yes. You checked me for a hernia and gave me a prostate exam, and I kinda liked it."

Feel better soon.

Pac, hun, take a big breath, breath out, breath in. A hernia, is not the end of the world, my late hubby nearly died from one (before my time) but did not. Yes, it does leave a scar, but when I consider that I wear my scars on my face, I would gadly accepts one on my tummy. You are one fckng awesome lady, who is a sub, yet has such a strong personality. Whilst it is damn scary, and a fact of life, nothing we do can change the outcome, only how you see it... Hugs and kisses GF!

Sorry to hear, pac. No fun at all. You need someone to pamper you and nurse you back to health until you are once again ready to take a lickin.

At least that is something medical science is experienced in and well equipped to handle.
Unlike the many ailments that crop up as we get older and there is no cure just maintenance pills for life.

a hernia in this lifetime...

As others have said, sorry to hear you're going through this. I had a hernia in my right lower groin when I was 3. The grubby doc left me in a condition that caused it to abscess, almost costing my life. Thankfully the second doc did a much better job. I don't really remember much of it, but I do bear the physical scars, the incision wound on my lower abdominal region, and three half inch "rice grain" type scars, one on each ankle and one on my right arm. The rice scars are from old school intravenous sites. Other than that, the actual hernia has caused me no issues whatsoever over the next 57 years. Medical science has come a long way since then, you have nothing to worry about, this all routine stuff these days.

If it's not too personal, please keep us updated on your progress, there will be many here waving the encouragement flag for you. By all means, call out if you need a pep talk. In the meantime, take things easy so as not to worsen the injury.

Don't worry! I was told I had 2. went in to the hospital to have them taken care of and they found 3 during surgery. I was up walking the next day with no pain AT ALL! just no heavy lifting and I was fine in a month. never any pain or discomfort. funny side note, when the admitting nurse asked why I was there (a standard question), I replied because I found a grubon offering 2 for 1. She laughed her ass off! Take care
