Golfing... In 100 + degree temperatures is not for the faint of heart. As you find yourself seeking shade every time you stop the cart or tee off. After several holes your sweating profusely. Hopefully you didn't forget the deodorant...  Drinking copious amounts of fluids is necessary. Because water just isn't enough to replace the electrolytes you lose sweating... Now those guys drinking beer really amaze me. When the cart girl stopped so pac could get a Gatorade. Guys from nearby holes were getting large amounts of beer. Not sure how they stayed hydrated? After playing 7 holes a young guy asked me t o join him. And of course she said yes. Then she saw his shirt. Which said University of Arizona. pac says "ohh no, can't tell my family" since we are all Arizona State University fans. Whereas Joey goes "I am now regretting my decision". It was the perfect response and we both laughed... After pacs all t o common ball in the water on the 17th hole. She told herself t o make # 18 count. And hit that shot that makes you come back t o the course. After a so-so tee shot, she hit a wonderful second shot that ended up a 100 yards from the putting green. Then she hit her best shot of the day. Where her hot pink ball landed about a foot from the hole. And par was made. As hot and tired as pac was this was a unexpected surprise... And just another reason why she plays this maddening, frustrating, but ohh so satisfying game!  ~ Physical strength is measured by what we carry. Inner strength is measured by what we can bear. ~ |

pac I would think beer a poor choice to stay hydrated!  Well done on being sensible and I understand just what you say re a good hole makes the the whole game worthwhile! pac, you are an animal, or bonkers. I sweat like apig when it is in the 70's playing a round of golf with my boys (well, men now I guess). Now if they only had a nudist course around here I might play more often.
